Thank you!!
May 22 at 5:30pm the youth group will host a pot luck dinner to say thank you. This is an opportunity for the youth group to thank our supporters for their contributions and making this youth group such a big success. This is the last time we will be meeting this years. however we are looking as opportunities to get together over the summer. There will be a change for next year. We found out that Wednesday evenings worked better for the group as a whole. So watched the blog and the church bulletin for details.

LOVE IS HERE!!!
We just returned from a Destination Jesus weekend retreat. It was an opportunity for approximately 800 youth to get together to strenghten their faith. A time to look at our relationship with God and how to make it better. We even realized ways to spread our faith here at home.
For me, this was a very emotional and spiritual retreat. Just to see our youth mingle with people that had the same faith. It was as if we planted seeds and witness their growth. To see our youth participate in the Eucharist adoration in ways that I never imagined. We celebrated with song and dance. It was amazing. Teens were understanding, in this crazy world we live in, that God is love and love is here. You could see it in their eyes.
One of the simplest ways of showing God that we love him is to pray daily. Thank Him for our gifts and for help during our tribulations. Say the rosary and participate in Mass. God commanded that we keep the Lord's day holy. In order for it to be holy we must participate. Participate in every single part of the Mass. Understand fully the Eucharist and the sacrifice that Christ made for us. We attended Mass daily. On Sunday, Bishop Timothy said Mass and gave a message to the youth about keeping God in our hearts and knowing that God is Love.
Build your relationship with God. Make him a part of your life. Spend time with him in silence. Listen... Then rejoice that he is our King, Our Lord.... Our Savior. Spread His word.
Every night we reflected on our experiences. I knew that the love for God I have in my heart I never want to lose. The fire that is part of my being I never want to extinguish. I will do what ever it takes to keep it there. God is great....All the time..... All the time...... God is great.
